These are not just buzzwords for customers of Manupackaging. In our product range, packaging and transport professionals will always find exactly the right solution, including comprehensive and professional advice. If desired, we can analyze your current adhesive tapes and cartons directly in our laboratory. We identify for you the optimal tape (carrier) as well as the ideal adhesive for your specific requirements. Whether for manual packaging or industrial applications – at Manupackaging you get precisely the solution that fits your individual challenge.

Important: Packaging adhesive tapes are also excellent for advertising purposes. In terms of printing, there are virtually no limits. From one- to six-color printing, company logos in original RAL or Pantone shades, all the way to photo printing (according to the CMYK scale) and with custom cores (starting at 10,000 pcs) – almost anything is possible. Adhesive Technologies

Natural rubber

A versatile adhesive system that ensures permanent carton sealing across a wide range of applications. Natural rubber reliably seals difficult surfaces (e.g., recycled cartons), even under challenging conditions.
Benefits:

  • Good temperature resistance
  • High shear strength
  • Broad application scope
  • Permanent carton seal

Hot Melt

Our synthetic rubber excels with very high initial tack, making it popular in industrial use. The adhesive is molten and applied hot to the backing. It offers strong bonding and high transparency.

Benefits:

  • High immediate tack
  • High transparency
  • Strong adhesion to steel

Acrylic

Acrylate adhesives are available in both water-soluble form and with solvents. Both variants are very resistant to aging, highly transparent, and UV-resistant, but can only be used on BOPP backing material.

Advantages:

  • High transparency
  • Good UV resistance
  • Good aging resistance
Backing Systems

PVC

Our PVC adhesive tapes are made from a uniaxially stretched rigid PVC film. PVC stands for polyvinyl chloride. The carrier material is of course free of plasticizers and is available both in transparent, smooth and embossed, as well as in various colors and film thicknesses ranging from 30 μm to 60 μm.

Advantages:

  • Very stable carrier material
  • Quiet and even unwinding
  • Very low elongation

BOPP/MOPP

With PP carrier materials, a distinction is made between biaxially oriented polypropylene films (BOPP) and monoaxially oriented polypropylene films (MOPP). BOPP films are primarily used in the production of classic packaging self-adhesive tapes. The main reason for this is the highest customer demand for a solid price-performance ratio. The most commonly used film thicknesses range from 25 μm to 50 μm. As soon as applications require specialty adhesive tapes, the carrier material MOPP comes to the forefront, as particular value is placed on very good stability here. Therefore, film thicknesses from 55 μm to 110 μm are processed.

Advantages of BOPP:

  • Effective with all adhesive systems
  • Can be rolled off loudly, quietly, or silently
  • High tear resistance both longitudinally and transversely
  • Good temperature resistance

Advantages of MOPP:

  • Very good stability and low elongation
  • High tear resistance both longitudinally and transversely
  • Good temperature resistance
  • Carrier thicknesses from 55 – 110 μm possible

Paper

An alternative to plastic films is carrier materials based on paper. Through impregnation, the paper carrier becomes weather-resistant and moisture-resistant. The paper qualities are classified by g/m² and are available from 50 – 100 g/m². Typical adhesive types are hot melt, solvent, and wet adhesives.

Advantages of Paper:

  • Silicone-free
  • Good printability
  • Recycling-friendly
  • Very good environmental image

PET

PET is the abbreviation for polyethylene terephthalate and is better known as polyester. This biaxially oriented high-performance carrier material is used for the production of specialty adhesive tapes. Even at thicknesses of 23 – 50 µm, it offers high tear resistance.

Advantages of PET:

  • low elongation
  • very high temperature resistance
  • high-performance material
